Adult Education Centres

The VSB operates seven adult education centres. They provide adult students with courses from the literacy level to secondary school completion. Each centre responds to the specific needs of its community. Program offerings reflect student course requests and enrolment patterns.

Centres offer a variety of learning formats:

one-to-one literacy tutoring
structured upgrading classes
individualized education programs (self-paced)

Centres also provide courses that focus on lifelong learning and develop specific skills which prepare the student to enter the Grade 11 and 12 courses needed to obtain either the regular high school graduation or the adult Dogwood Diploma. All Grade 10, 11, and 12 courses follow prescribed Ministry of Education curriculums.
