Budget Process - 2010/11 school year

This website has been developed to provide the public with information regarding the budget for the 2010/2011 school year. As the budget process progresses, additional information will be provided on this website. We invite you to look through the information contained herewith, and to check back often.

The Vancouver Board of Education values the opinions of the general public and the community, and it invites you to make your views known so that future budgets are developed with your input. As part of this, the district has developed a budget dialogue presentation.

At its meeting of 2009 December 21, the Board approved the 2010/2011 Budget Process / Timeline. The Schedule of Meetings is set out below. Please refer to this schedule for the budget meeting dates and deadlines for submissions.

Those who wish to speak at the March 23 (Committee III/V), March 24 (Public), March 25 (Public), and April 20 (Committee-of-the-Whole) meetings, may register with the Administrative Coordinator, Secretary-Treasurer’s Office at 604-713-5080, no later than two working days before the meeting. Trustees value your opinion and invite you to make your views known, so that a budget can be developed that takes into consideration input received.

Please note: All submissions to the Board are considered to be public documents. The Board, therefore, reserves the right to make any submissions available to the public.
