Sophia Woo is a Mental Health Clinician with extensive experience motivating students and listening to parents. She has a Masters Degree in Social Work and a Postgraduate diploma in Educational Psychology.
A hardworking and productive community volunteer, Sophia is a Board Member of the Chinese Community Police Center and the Vancouver Association of Community Police Centers.
Sophia was instrumental in distributing “In Case of Emergency” cards to all students in Vancouver. This card allowed staff to have immediate contact information in case of student injury. Sophia worked through the Rotary Club of Vancouver Chinatown to provide dictionaries to all Grade 5 inner City School students. For this effort she was awarded the Paul Harris Fellow by International Rotary.
