ECF: Conservation of Energy
Temperatures in School Buildings
It is the policy of the Board of School Trustees (the “Board”) to keep the temperature in district-owned buildings no higher than 20oC. However, the principal of each school shall have the authority to raise the temperature in a building if special circumstances make the 20oC limit inappropriate.
The Board shall periodically review the approved thermostat setting, bearing in mind the comfort and well-being of the people in the buildings, as well as the necessity to save energy and school funds.
