GCP: Professional Staff Termination of Employment
Professional staff members may leave their positions with the school district for a variety of reasons: reduction in professional staff work force, resignation, retirement, or suspension/dismissal for cause.
It will be the responsibility of the Associate Superintendent - Human Resources, or designate, and his/her staff to develop specific procedures for each of these forms of employment termination. These procedures shall be developed and interpreted in line with the requirements of the law and of applicable contracts.
