GDI: Support Staff Assignments and Transfers
In accordance with the policy of the Board of School Trustees (the “Board”) to use its employees' experience and skills to the best advantage of the school district, each employee of the Board will be assigned to a specific position, subject to the requirements of the appropriate negotiated agreement.
The requests and preferences of employees will be taken into account to the extent that they do not conflict with the needs of the school system. Care will be taken by the central administration to see that all district schools are equitably staffed with support staff personnel.
Within an individual school, a principal may assign support staff members to tasks appropriate to their positions and qualifications, within the framework of the district's organization and the terms of any applicable negotiated agreement.
