IGBD: Programs for Teen Parents
The Board of School Trustees (the “Board”) encourages students who are pregnant or who are teen parents to continue their education in order to increase their opportunities for graduation from secondary school and their potential for job placements.
Teen parents are entitled to have access to regular school programs. In some circumstances, the Board will offer alternatives to their education, in partnership with other community agencies. The programs may include academic upgrading, personal development, career exploration, work experience, on-going support, and daycare
