IGDH: Contests for Students
All contests, competitions, and similar activities sponsored by individuals or organizations outside the school district will be evaluated on grounds of their direct contribution to the educational purposes of the schools. Any such activities must be approved by the principal(s) of the school(s) involved, and permission must be obtained from the Superintendent of Schools, or his/her designate. Participation shall be voluntary.
The schools will not normally participate in essay or poster contests as schools. However, schools may post announcements about such contests and may, with the principal's knowledge and approval, pass information to students about education-related essay or poster contests.
