GENERAL INFORMATION:
Required Qualifications/Experience:
- B.C. Professional Teaching Certificate;
- A minimum 5 years successful teaching experience;
- Principal candidates must have completed a Master’s degree program;
- Vice-Principal candidates must have completed or be enrolled in a Master’s degree program (verification required), and
- Demonstrated ability in the use of computers for administrative purposes.

We require effective School Administrators in Vancouver who will:
- Demonstrate the professional attributes of exemplary leaders;
- Collaboratively develop a school mission, vision, values and goals;
- Sustain a school growth process which is inclusive of staff, student and parents and which has as its focus the maximization of student learning;
- Positively influence instruction, curriculum, assessment and evaluation practices in our schools;
- Create a professional learning community that motivates staff and fosters teamwork, shared decision-making and professional growth;
- Foster a school culture which is respectful of diversity and encourages partnerships with stakeholders;
- Successfully lead in a unionized environment;
- Effectively utilize resources and efficiently operate the school, and
- Demonstrate emotional competency in motivating, problem solving and social behaviours with others.
Please note that in accordance with the Criminal Record Review Act, selected candidates not currently employed by the Vancouver Board must be cleared through the criminal record reviw.

1. Complete Application Form (if you are applying for more than one position, a separate application is required for each).
2. Confidential Reference Form:
- Please give the Confidential Reference Form to one of your references to complete. This person must know you in a work context (preferably your immediate supervisor) and be able to attest to your ability to do the job for which you are applying.
- Please have your referee return the form by mail or hand delivery on or before the closing date for applications, in an envelope marked “Confidential Reference Form” to:

3. Resumes and any relevant supporting documentation (e.g. letters of reference or your most recent evaulation). Transcripts and certificates are not required and should not be included.
