This program operates out of the Collingwood Neighbourhood House located at Joyce Road and Euclid Street (Joyce Skytrain Station). The curriculum offered is self-paced and focuses on the core subject areas of Science, Math, Socials Studies and English with opportunities for computer-based instruction.

Program Description:

This program operates out of the Collingwood Neighbourhood House located at Joyce Road and Euclid Street (Joyce Skytrain Station).   The curriculum offered is self-paced and focuses on the core subject areas of Science, Math, Socials Studies and English with opportunities for computer-based instruction.  Students work at their own level up to grade 10 completion and then may proceed to an Adult Education Centre for Grade 11 and 12 courses.  They may also choose to return to a secondary school or register for GVDES credit courses through Collingwood. Students attend from 8:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

 

Student Profile:

Students are primarily ages 16-19

 

Academic Goal:

Completion of Grade 10

 

Application Process:

The format is semestered with intakes in September and February.
