Elementary Programs

The Vancouver Board of Education, the Aboriginal Communities and the Ministry of Education continue to work together to improve the educational experiences for Aboriginal students.

The Vancouver School Board early French Immersion program accepts 5 and 6 year olds at the beginning of their formal schooling.

Comprehensive programming for gifted learners from Kindergarten - Grade 12 - Early Entrance to University.

The Garibaldi Home Learners' Program provides support and multi-aged group learning programs for students K-7.

The School Act permits parents to provide an educational program for their children at home.

Applications for all Kindergarten programs (including regular English, French Immersion, Montessori and Fine Arts) for the 2010/2011 school year will be accepted starting November 2, 2009.

The Vancouver School Board late French Immersion program accepts 10 and 11 year olds who have successfully completed Grade 5.

Mandarin bilingual program is unique to Dr. Annie B. Jamieson Elementary and starts in grade 4-7.

Elementary students at VLN-E (Garibaldi Annex) may enroll in our full correspondence program or as a home-schooling student.
