The Vancouver Board of Education, the Aboriginal Communities and the Ministry of Education continue to work together to improve the educational experiences for Aboriginal students.

ACE IT programs are here to help you to follow your passion and turn it into your career. By taking courses that will give you both high school graduation credits and a head start towards completion of an apprenticeship program you'll be ahead of the game!

The Britannia Hockey Academy (BHA) is the Vancouver School Board’s first sport specific academy.  The BHA blends regular secondary school coursework and graduation programs with a licensed Hockey Canada Skills Academy (HCSA).

This is a two-year program (grades 11 - 12) with the highly recommended option of a pre-I.B. year in grade 10. 

The Britannia Venture Program is an academically challenging program that provides a unique educational experience for motivated students in Grades 8, 9, and 10.

The Byng Arts Mini School program is designed for students who wish to direct their energies and passions towards the fine arts, to work within a community of students who share their interest, and to maintain strong academic achievement.

Career Preparation Programs integrate classroom learning with practical experience in the workplace.

The students who come to City School at King George Secondary have at least one thing in common with each other - they all chose to leave their traditional high schools because they wanted a different kind of school environment.

 

The David Thompson Odyssey Mini School offers a unique opportunity to the highly able (gifted) student.  The program has a strong academic focus and includes an emphasis on creative and critical thinking.
