Barb Parrott


Elected to the Vancouver School Board October 2018, Barb Parrott is a career educator who taught for 35 years, during which she advocated for improved conditions for teachers and students. She holds a Bachelor of Education and Masters of Education from the University of British Columbia. Barb is Honourary Member of the Vancouver Elementary School Teachers’ Association and the B.C. Teachers’ Federation, as well as a recipient of the G.A. Fergusson Memorial Award. She lives in City Gate with her partner, Alan, their dog Cedar, and a menagerie of stuffed animals – many of whom are residents of Hundred Acre Wood.
