Two talented VSB students are finalists in the On The Coast Unplugged contest to find the most talented high school singer songwriters.
Sky Lambourne from Templeton Secondary and Roan Shankaruk from Vancouver Technical Secondary join JJ Asuming-Tawiah from St. Georges as the top three finalists.
Go to the On The Coast Unplugged site to read the finalist's bios, listen to their songs and interviews by host Stephen Quinn and see what prizes they'll win.
The final OTC Unplugged show is Friday, November 5 from 3 to 6pm, on the radio at 88.1 FM and 690 AM. They'll also be streaming video live at cbc.ca/onthecoast.
The three finalists will perform in front of a studio audience in CBC's Studio 700. They'll be joined by local musicians who will stop by to share how they got started, and give their advice to the finalists. At the end of the show, judges (CBC Radio 3 host Lisa Christiansen, music producer Howard Redekopp, and singer/songwriter and producer Babe Gurr) will select the winner.
Over 87 submissions were received for this contest so congratulations to the finalists.
