East Side Alternate Program students partnered with A.R. Lord's Grade 1 class, their parents and staff to create holiday memories (and gingerbread houses) this week.

East Side is now located in the old primary building on the A.R. Lord Elementary School site. In an effort to build our community, teachers Reena Bains and Milissa Ewing's Grade 1 class and East Side students and staff agreed to partner throughout the year on group projects.

This Tuesday, East Side invited the elementary students to visit their program to make gingerbread houses. Using a selection of candies and with help from the East Side students, each Grade 1 student completed a uniquely designed gingerbread house that they took home with them later that day.
