On Friday, March 1, 2013, Total Ed students and staff celebrated their own special Pink Day. They started with an opening assembly with trivia and prizes, an ice breaker where they created "card rainbow" and then a screening of Shane Koyczan's "To This Day".

Then it was off to activity rooms, which included a photo booth (with dress up), face painting and pink hair, friendship bracelets creation, a Harlem Shake dance party and a bake sale to raise money for the program's GSA. The day ended with a closing assembly with awards for best outfit, most pink and best prop and most positive messages from students.

According to GSA Sponsor and Safe Contact Sue Monti, the best part of the day was the spontaneous group hug with many students participating. Monti says Total Ed has one of the largest (per capita) GSAs in the district.
