On Thursday, May 9, Eric Hamber Fashion Department hosted their 22nd annual fashion show ENIGMA 2013.
The show featured innovative "up-cycling" of alternate materials in clothing, including paper, film strips, coffee bags, street banners, among other materials. The show also featured the work of Skills/Competences Canada national gold medalist and Team Canada member Donna Lu, who is set to compete for Canada in the WorldSkills Fashion Technology competition in Leipzig, Germany this July.
"We're very excited to stage ENIGMA 2013 this year, because it's such an amazing year for the Department. We have Donna competing in WorldSkills in Leipzig, while we're hosting the Skills/Competences Canada National Championships in June at BC Place," said Hamber Fashion teacher Nina Ho. "This is par for the course in the general creative mayhem that characterizes the department!"
This year's show marks the debut for the Fashion District Program in the district.
