Tennyson students in Grades 3, 4, and 5 were thoroughly engaged on November 7 with the visit from Canadian Space Agency astronaut David Saint-Jacques.
"David Saint-Jacques thrilled the students with his talk and answered the students' questions about being an astronaut and the CSA," says Tennyson principal Jacqueline Lavoie.
The astronaut also brought along an entourage. He was joined by UBC PhD Physics students Natasha, Andrew, and Shun, who were involved with the Let's Talk Science program. The team of UBC students demonstrated a series of nifty science experiments.
"We definitely want to thank the presenters and Tennyson teacher Diana Leong who arranged the presentation," said Lavoie.
