This December, students in Trafalgar Elementary's Divisions 4 and 5 hosted other classes and their parents at an Evening of Eminence, where the students shared with everyone everything they had learned about one famous Canadian.

During the afternoon, each student presented the product of their research to students in the gym, and in the evening, with their parents, they dressed the part too. The students also presented a poster board with a biography of their individual, a timeline of their life, a newspaper article about him/her, personal opinions, photographs, and an art project.

"Before meeting parents in the gym, our 'Famous Canadians' strolled the halls meeting parents, all of whom had to try to guess which famous person they were," said Adele Tremblay, the Principal of Trafalgar Elementary.

The list of characters included politicians from the time of Confederation to the present day, scientists, athletes, actors, visual artists, musicians, writers, and inventors.
