Cunningham Visited by 80 Year Old Daughter of Its Namesake

Cunningham Elementary's year end Service Assembly this year featured a very special guest.

Pat MacKay, the daughter of the school's namesake, George T Cunningham was on hand at the assembly after reading about the school in the Globe and Mail. MacKay, who is now in her early 80s, was surrounded by three generations of her family. Her and her relatives took in the service assembly after making a generous donation of $1,000 to Cunningham's playground fund, as well as the donation of PlayMobil toys for the school's upcoming Multicultural Dinner Raffle.

During the Service Assembly, dozens of students from all grades were honoured for their outstanding service as library monitors, safety patrol members, among other activities.
