KidSafe Project Gets $10,000 Donation to Support Inner City Kids During Spring Break

Earlier this month, KidSafe Project got a big financial boost. BMO Bank of Montreal joined with the local charity to provide safety, nutrition and learning opportunities to 310 inner-city children over spring break.

Each weekday of the break, KidSafe will provide nutritious meals, supportive adults and fun activities and field-trips to students from a number of Vancouver elementary schools. From music workshops, to in-line skating, to literacy programming, KidSafe's spring break program sparks a students interest in new subject areas, and makes them well-suited to participate alongside their peers when school resumes.

In early March, employees from BMO's Corporate Head Office and the Broadway & Commercial branch presented KidSafe Executive Director Gerhard Maynard with a generous contribution of $10,000, which will help fund the program over the next two years.
