Speaking From Our Art Features Powerful Alternative Program Artists and Performers

Tuesday April 22, 2014 the Vancouver Alternative Programs Art Exhibit "Speaking From Our Art" went on display at the Roundhouse Community Centre. The event showcased visual and performing arts from the district alternative programs.

Opening night was on Wednesday April 23rd with an evening of performance art. During the evening students performed a wide-range of acts ranging from acoustic guitar accompanied songs to a great marimba song. Outside, the Roundhouse atrium was literally covered with gorgeous and colourful works of art. Sculptures, paintings, photographs - there was something for every art lover to appreciate.

On Friday all alternative students had the opportunity to view their art and were treated to amazing performances from their peers. A special thanks to our partners Emily Carr University of Art & Design , Sarah McLachlan School of Music and the Roundhouse Community Centre.
