As a part of their Pro-D Day on Friday November 28, inner city teachers were treated to a rousing performance by a group of youngsters from Nightinglee, who belted out a couple terrific show-tunes at Van Tech. Led by Nightingale Elementary principal Hope Sterling, the students received a standing ovation at the end of their set.
Then Chris Obst, a management consultant, gave the group of several hundred participants a thoughtful, humorous and engaging talk on time management and energy management. Later in the day, educators broke off into groups to discuss relevant school issues.
