Join Us for the Pride Parade this Sunday!

The VSB is proud of our commitment to making schools safe, caring and inclusive for all our students and staff.

This year we are expecting loads of staff, students, parents and friends of the VSB will be walking in the 36th Annual Vancouver Pride Parade.

Attracting crowds of more than 650,000, the Pride Parade is renowned on the international stage as one of the largest and most successful LGBTQ events in the world.

Below are the event details if you and your family would like to join us.

What: VSB at Pride
Date: Sunday, August 3rd
MEETING TIME: 10:00 - 11:15 am
** Come early and help decorate the bus!** 
(NOTE: After 11:15 AM you may have trouble reaching the float, so don't be late!)
END: Expect to be involved until 3:00pm
LOCATION: Section B (Float is located on Thurlow Street between Robson and Haro Streets - NOTE: This is a slightly different location than past Pride Parades when we've been located on Robson)

Be sure to wear a pink shirt!

The VSB has a limited number of pink shirts that will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

PLEASE NOTE: Participating in the VSB Pride Float is not in conflict with current job or strike action. The BCTF supports the volunteer participation of teachers in this event.
