Garden project provides bountiful harvest

Giant zucchinis were among the latest vegetables to be successfully harvested by students caring for the small school garden at Collingwood Neighbourhood School.

After watering and weeding their way through the spring, the students enjoyed a large salad in June and the latest vegetables were ready when they returned to school in September.

Vice-principal Joel Levine said the garden had been a great experience for everyone to understand how to grow vegetables and to appreciate healthy natural foods.
