Students at Tupper Secondary have been signing up to take part in school activities at the annual Clubs Day Fair.
More than twenty clubs set up display booths on Tuesday (Sep. 20) to showcase club activities and encourage students, particularly the new Grade 8 students, to engage with the school community.
The fair was organized by Tupper Student Council. Grade 12 student Tasheal Gill, the council president, was ecstatic with the response of the student community and looked forward to an exciting year for school activities.
Earlier in the week, Tupper staff and the school's parent advisory committee (PAC) welcomed more than 100 parents and guardians to the school for a Grade 8 parent information evening.
Parents learned more about their son or daughter's first two weeks as a high school student and about support opportunities to assist students navigate life in Grade 8. Following the presentations, parents could meet with Tupper teachers and administration. They could also network with other parents and PAC executive members.
