Vancouver Early Years Refugee Program  

Vancouver Early Years Refugee Program (EYRP) is for families with current or previous refugee experience.

The program provides preschool-aged children, from newborns to 5-year-olds, with an environment to learn through play, helping them develop their language, cognitive, social and motor skills. Parents and caregivers will have the opportunity to meet and connect with other families, learn about parenting in Canada and receive more information and support. Bus tickets and healthy snacks are provided.

Immigrant Parents as Literacy Support Program 

Immigrants Parents as Literacy Support Program (IPALS) is a free family literacy program for Mandarin-speaking immigrant families and for Arabic speaking refugee families.

IPALS helps prepare children for school and provides parents and caregivers with strategies to encourage English language and literacy skills.

IPALS for Mandarin speaking families

Participants must have permanent residency status and be prepared to commit to all eight sessions, which take place at Collingwood Neighbourhood School.
