Learning Support programs provide targeted academic support for students in grades 8 to 9.
The goal of the program is to support academics and assist students in developing learning strategies to cope with areas of weakness while supporting self-esteem. The students are timetabled into mainstream electives and academic subjects whenever possible and appropriate.
Students are appropriate for placement in this program when they meet the Ministry criteria for Learning Disabilities (Q).
Student placement is review every April with the goal of returning students to their home schools.
