Hello Parents,

We not only survived but thrived during our first rainy week of the school year! Thank you for sending your children to school prepared—with both the right clothing and the right attitude—to play and explore outdoors. Unstructured outdoor play is a vital part of children’s development and learning, and your support makes it possible. Thank you!

📌 This Week at DLG

🗓️ PAC Meeting – Tuesday, October 7 | 6:00–7:30 PM | School Library

All parents and guardians are welcome to attend. Come connect, share ideas, and learn more about how you can support our school community.

🏃‍♀️ Cross Country Meet – Tuesday After School | Quilchena Park

Come cheer on our DLG Hornets as they compete with other westside schools!
A special thank you to the staff and parents who coach and supervise—not only at the meets but also during those early morning practices.

🕑 Early Dismissal – Wednesday & Thursday at 2:00 PM

Students will be dismissed early to allow time for Parent-Teacher Conferences.

👥 Parent-Teacher Conferences – Wednesday & Thursday

Please check your communication from your child’s teacher to sign up.
Children benefit immensely when parents are informed and involved in their school day.

🎲 Lunchtime Activities at DLG

We’re excited to offer a variety of optional lunchtime clubs and activities for students.
Weekly Schedule:

• Monday – Knitting, Library Monitors, Chess (may be moved)
• Tuesday – Choir  
• Wednesday – Dungeons & Dragons, Library Monitors  
• Thursday – Student Council, Library Monitors  
• Friday – Diversity Club, Library Monitors
