DLB: Salary Deductions

D: Fiscal Management

Employees of the school district covered by a negotiated agreement between the Board of School Trustees (the “Board”) and a recognized employee association or union shall have deductions made from their salaries or wages in accordance with the requirements of the law and with the terms of that agreement. Employees not covered by a negotiated agreement shall have deductions made in accordance with legal requirements and may have other deductions made as stipulated in their individual contracts with the Board. 

Any salary deductions not required by law or agreement or made for absences not covered by paid leave shall be subject to Board approval and voluntary on the part of the employee.  For all voluntary deductions, the employee will fill out a form authorizing the Secretary-Treasurer’s Office to make the deduction and to administer the approved program to which the employee wishes to contribute.
