Although the COVID-19 pandemic means Vancouver school communities are currently unable to come together physically as they normally would, that is not stopping the Tillicum Annex community from celebrating International Day of Pink!
International Day of Pink has one purpose - to create a more inclusive and diverse world. Recognizing that discrimination takes many shapes and forms, the day promotes equality and acceptance. The movement encourages people around the world to stand in solidarity with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Tillicum Annex staff and students are wearing pink at home to encourage young people to challenge social norms and stand up against bullying towards their 2SLGBTQIA+ peers.
Let's distance ourselves from discrimination too. As we reflect on creating a more inclusive and diverse world, join the International Day of Pink movement at a distance today too. Take a photo wearing pink and share them on your social channels using the hashtag #VirtualDayofPink.
