The Policy and Governance committee held their regular meeting virtually on Wednesday night. The meeting began with a presentation from Argyle Communications – a communications firm hired by the Board to conduct an engagement process for the District’s School Liaison Officer (SLO) program review. This review of the program follows a Board motion passed in 2020.
The presentation outlined the engagement process, data collected from online surveys, interviews and focus groups. It also provided a summary of next steps for the SLO review process.
After the presentation, members of the committee shared their thoughts on the report and had a chance to ask questions about the findings.
Finally, committee members noted the next step for the SLO review process is a meeting on March 8. At the Special Board / Committee of the Whole meeting, trustees will hear from members of the community sharing their thoughts on the SLO program.
