The Vancouver School District has many programs and services to support students and families.

• Multicultural Liaison Workers and the Newcomer Welcome Centre provide resources for families that are new to Canada.
• Safe and Caring Schools Department promotes safety, mutual respect and acceptance. One aspect of this is the Student Threat Risk Assessment (VTRA) process that is initiated when a student makes a threat of violence or harm to other students, staff or the school community.
