Ways Students Can Get Involved
There are several opportunities for students to volunteer their time as monitors here at Carnarvon. The following opportunities are available:
School Safety Patrol
Grade 6 and 7 students can join the School Safety Patrol and have a shift either in the morning or after school. This is a very important volunteer position as it helps keep our students safe.
Grade 6 and 7 students have the opportunity to work in the Library at different times during the day.
Representatives from each of the Intermediate classess will be voted upon in their classes. These students meet with the Student Council teacher sponsor weekly to suggest and discuss student events and fundraising/altruistic opportunities for the students in the school.
After receiving training from our Community Schools Team, volunteers from Grades 6 and 7 act as advocates for students on the playground and will teach playground games to Primary students two days a week.
