Dear Cavell Community,
It is hard to believe that we are already knocking on November’s door! I am so proud of our school community. It is incredible how we have all adapted to our present reality in safe and engaging ways – staggered recess and lunch, face masks in the hallway when physical distancing is not possible, regular hand washing/hand sanitizing, learning cohorts, etc. These have become routine for all staff and students. We appreciate the care that families have taken to do daily health assessments. We see more absences than usual, which tells me that you are keeping your child(ren) home when they are sick. Our staff is doing the same. We are working together to keep our community safe while our children learn. We would like to THANK YOU all for your patience, kindness and understanding during this extraordinary school year. We feel fortunate to work with such an amazing school community.
This year Cavell students and staff will be commemorating Remembrance Day differently since we cannot have a whole school assembly. Classes will be marking this important day in their classrooms, viewing and participating in a PowerPoint we are creating.
We are also working on a ‘meet the staff’ document that we will share with you soon.
As always, please reach out if you have any feedback, questions, or concerns.
Your Cavell Team
