My name is Anna, and I am a Grade 11 student from Burnaby Central Secondary. I am reaching out to educators across the Lower Mainland and found your email on Killarney Secondary’s website.

I’m a volunteer at the Hot Potato Initiative Foundation, a registered non-profit organisation working to educate and engage young Canadians in the conversation about homelessness. We are currently recruiting other high school students across Canada to start school clubs or become Ambassadors until July 25th, 2020.
The sole purpose of the club will be to educate students about a range of social issues such as human rights and issues faced by Indigenous Peoples. The organisation does not solicit or collect proceeds fundraised by these clubs. Any money raised by your students will go directly into outreach initiatives they organise themselves.
I was hoping you would share this opportunity with your students, whether it is through announcements or your school newsletter.

The 17th annual Collingwood Days Festival will take place the week of May 23 to May 30, 2020 throughout Renfrew-Collingwood. The celebrations will culminate at Gaston Park on Saturday, May 30th with art, performance, International Marketplace, food, and much more!

In 2020, we would like to especially honour the natural environment that we live in and showcase ways we can help to create and sustain a healthier neighbourhood for us all. Come celebrate our community with your neighbours, local artists, performers, vendors and community organizations.
