October 22, 2020 represents the second annual Strathcona Elementary Pumpkin Patch. The whole school community participated in the event that included students currently attending in-person instruction, as well as some students currently in the transition option.
The successful event maintained all District safety protocols with 450 pumpkins and students spaced apart on the gravel soccer field, and cohort learning groups of students picking out their sanitized pumpkins. Students will carve their pumpkins at home.
“We were pleased to still be able to do the event with safety protocols in place. The event concluded with each child receiving an individually packaged popcorn snack and juice box for their efforts”, shares Jason Eng, Strathcona Elementary principal.
