Commitment, Initiative, and Communication: These are the three cornerstones of effective, responsible leadership. They are the core of the Magee Leaders Program, and the basis of the programs' goals:
Commitment: to instill an understanding of the responsibilities of citizenship, and of the individual's potential to effect positive change in our society.
Initiative: to encourage students to act on their convictions and to exercise sound judgment in doing so.
Communication: to develop in each student the most essential leadership tool - the ability to communicate effectively - by building skill, confidence, and understanding.
The MAGEE LEADERSHIP PROGRAM fosters the responsibilities of citizenship and individual potential to effect positive change in our society. The program encourages students to act on their convictions and to exercise sound judgment in doing so. The cohort consists curious, compassionate and committed Grade 8 and 9 students looking for academic enrichment, and leadership and community service opportunities.
- Applications to our program will be accepted until January 8th, 2021.
- All applicants will be invited to participate in our Leaders' interviews on January 20th, 2021. Twenty-eight students will be selected from this application pool.
If you are a Grade eight student wanting to apply for your grade nine year, there are at times spots available. Please complete the applications and submit to Magee by January 20th, 2021. You will be called personally to schedule an interview.
