Reporting Absences and Lates
Student safety is of paramount importance at the Vancouver School District and Mount Pleasant Elementary School. Ensuring student safety is a shared responsibility. In order to assist schools, we ask parents to notify schools of student absences. There are two ways to report your child's absence:
- Call 604-713-5159 and use the school Code 57
- Email firstname.lastname@example.org with your child's name and division.
If your child is late to school, they will report to the office and then receive a late slip to take back to class. This will let the classroom teacher know that the child has checked into the office and there will be no need for a follow up phone call. This is a new system we will implement at Mount Pleasant and will start up sometime next week.
