ATTENTION GRADE 12S!

The Vancouver Secondary Teachers' Association is offering a bursary to graduating students.  Preference will be given to students who show an interest in entering the profession of teaching.

There is also another award … the Oliver Matthew Award - this award is presented annually to a grad who shows qualities of leadership, integrity, cooperativeness, active participation and service to the school or community.  Good scholarship is also considered.  The recipient will be selected from among those nominated by members of the graduating class as the one who best exemplifies the above qualities.

Also, consider applying for the HOUNDS Strength of Character Award - this award is presented each year to a graduating student who best exemplifies the strength of character found in the HOUNDS Code of Conduct.

Application forms are available from Ms. Agius or Ms. Baker (room 204).  The deadline is April 9th, 2020.                                                                                                              (8) Ms. Baker

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS DOING SERVICE

If you do service for a teacher or are in involved in a service-related club, your service hour logs are now due for submission.  They must be submitted to the sponsoring teacher by Thursday, April 9th.  Please verify your hours with the teacher concerned.  Your sponsor teacher will then submit your service hours to the awards committee for consideration of service certificates and award pins.  Please note:  students can not submit service hours directly to the awards committee.  This must be done through a teacher.  Also, you are reminded to continue keeping track of your service hours for the April to June period and then to submit logs again in June.      (9) Mr. Petheriotis
