Carleton/Cunningham eNews January 10th, 2021

image description

It was a wonderful week back at school, a little bit of sunshine even poked out throughout the week.  The children seemed very happy to be back, lots of laughter was had by everyone this week.  We will welcome some more students back to school on January 19th.  We are looking forward to meeting some new friends in person.

If you have moved since September, you must notify the office of your address change.  It is important we have up to date information for our students.  If you have moved out of our community or district, it is extremely important you register at your new catchment school.  We have students living in our catchment and are unable to accept them as we are at capacity in some grades.  If you need help with the process for applying to your new catchment school, please contact the office.

If you do not live in our catchment (living constitutes the main residence you spent time at: eat, sleep, pay bills for etc.) but would like you child/ren to attend our school, you must apply cross-boundary.  If you have any questions about this, please contact the administration. Priority for cross-boundary is as follows:

  • 1st: Non-catchment student with a sibling concurrently attending the same program – has a sibling that will be concurrently attending the same location, in the same program
  • 2nd: Non-catchment student (Daycare) - A student resident in the School District enrolled in child care within the catchment (applies to Kindergarten - Grade 7 only)
  • 3rd: Non-catchment student – A student that is a resident within the District
  • 4th: Non-District student – A British Columbian resident who does not reside in the Vancouver School District

Grade 7 Families - If you are interested in ordering a Grade 7 hoodie for your child/ren please place your order this week on our SchoolCash system.  If you need help with the order please contact the office.  No child will be denied a hoodie due to finances. If you need help, please let the administration know.
