We are looking forward to a wonderful last week of school before the winter break.  The staff has a variety of great Covid friendly festive activities planned for both at school students and home learners.  It is shaping up to be a fantastic week before a well-deserved break.  

 

If you would like your child to return to school on January 19th, please respond to an email which will be sent the first week in January.  You do not need to decide now.

 

Food Bank Drive – Tomorrow, December 14th, is the last day of our winter food bank drive.  Thank you for all of the contributions so far. If you are able to contribute, the food bank is looking for non-perishables but specifically they are in need of canned salmon and pasta. 

 

December Holiday Spirit Week, Tomorrow is Pyjama Day – Option 4 learners take a picture of yourself and post it to our All Students Team to show everyone your school spirit.  Check out the list for the rest of the week and see the attached flyer.

            Monday, December 14th – Pyjama Day

            Tuesday, December 15th – Blue and White Day 

            Wednesday, December 16th – Holiday Headwear 

            Thursday, December 17th – Red and Green Day

            Friday, December 18th -  Holiday Cheer

 

Winter Year End Assembly – will be held on December 18th at 1:30pm.  Option 4 families are welcome to join via the All Students Team.  A meeting invitation will be posted closer to the event.

 

Holiday Singing - Unfortunately, we are unable to host our traditional hallway caroling but at school students will be singing a collection of holiday favourites in their classrooms for 10 minutes every morning hosted by Ms. Neibel.  Primary students – Option 4 and at school – will also have the opportunity for an extra sing-along on Tuesday and Thursday this week.  The sing-along will include a holiday story.  Option 4 students please use the following links:

Borrowed Clothing – If your child has borrowed clothing from our school (dry socks and pants mostly) please return the items washed so other children can use them when needed.  Please remember is you need help supplying proper outdoor clothing for your child, let the office know, we can help.
