It’s hard to believe it is the middle of October already. We welcomed some more students back to the school this passed week. If you are interested in sending your child back to in-school learning your next opportunity will be November 9th. An email will be coming from the office a week prior to the 9th please respond to this email if you would like your child to return to in-school learning. You must respond to the office not your child’s classroom teacher.
The weather is getting a bit colder please remember to send your child to school with appropriate outdoor clothes and a change in case they get wet. Also remember to pack your child the appropriate utensils for their lunch (fork, spoon, chopsticks etc.) as we don’t have any to share at the school.
School Fees – School fees are payable online using the School Cash Online system. The basic school fee for all children attending school is $35, children returning at a later date will be pro-rated this amount depending on when they start. Some teachers have also chosen to use an agenda and/or a math workbook. The cost for the math workbook is $15, both in-school and at-home learners will receive one if your teacher has chosen to use it. If you are unable to pay for any of the school fees, please let the office know (either reply to this email or call the office). We are able to assist families who are experiencing financial insecurity, all requests for assistance will be kept confidential.
Forms – If you child is attending school in-person you should have received a package of beginning of year forms. Thank you to those families who have completed the beginning of the year forms. If you haven’t already done so it is important they are completed as soon as possible as this is what we use to update our emergency contact information.
Drop Off and Pick Up – Please do not stop your car and drop off or pick up your child in front of the school on 37th street. We have several school bussing arriving for students in our district programs. This area is reserved for them. You must find an alternative location, walking or biking to school is highly encourage.
