Dear Laurier Families,

Bye January! Hello February!

Hard to believe that we already have half of the 2020-2021 school year behind us! We are looking forward to the second half of the school year with hope and optimism! On Friday, January 29th, you received your child(ren)'s mid-year progress reports, one of the many ways of communicating student learning throughout the school year. I do hope that the written report gave you an opportunity to celebrate the learning with your child(ren) and discuss their strengths and areas for growth.

February is here and like any other month, week, day and minute of the year, we continue to SOAR, by being Supportive, Open-Minded, Awesome and Respectful and appreciative of the richness of our diverse community. In February, we highlight the importance of love, friendship, compassion and mutual understanding through different school activities to celebrate the Black History Month, Lunar New Year, Valentine's Day and Pink Shirt Day. In doing so, we continue to deepen our understanding and support the ongoing work of anti-racism, diversity, equity and inclusion in our schools and communities.
