High Jump at Laurier!

Bye April! Hello May!

We are hoping for a warmer month and hopefully more sunny days in our beautiful city and are looking forward to our upcoming outdoor activities at Laurier.

MOVING? LET US KNOW! Are you returning to Laurier in September 2022? If you are not returning and have not yet informed us, please call the Office immediately as this may affect class size and composition for the next school year.

CHANGE OF ADDRESS OR PHONE NUMBER? Please inform the Office if you have changed your address or telephone number. For safety and enrolment purposes, it is very important that the school office has the accurate information.

Congratulations to our Laurier Basketball Teams!

Our basketball season has ended at Laurier. Many thanks to our Sr. Girls and Boys Basketball Teams for their dedication and sportsmanship this season. Congratulations to the Sr. Girls Basketball Team on competing the season with a perfect season of 4 wins and no losses. Amazing work everyone! Our special thanks to Mr. Fisher for coaching both teams this season!

Track and Field at Laurier!

We have begun the Track and Field season at Laurier for our students Gr. 4-7. A letter has been sent home with details about practices for our juniors (Grades 4/5) and Seniors (Grades 6/7). Both teams will each have three mini meets at Churchill, which will take place after school from 3:15-4:45pm. Parents or guardians are expected to pick students up promptly after the meet. The season will culminate in a District Track Meet during the day on June 2nd (June 3rd backup day). This season would not have been possible without the involvement of our dedicated coaches: Ms. Boucher, Mr. Fisher, Ms. Murphy, Ms. Virvilis, Mr. Hong, Ms. S. Wong, Ms. Baxter, Ms. V. Lee and our UBC Student Teachers. Many thanks to our students and teachers for their time and effort.

Ultimate at Laurier!

The Ultimate season for Grade 7 students has started at Laurier! A letter has already been sent to families with more information about practices and games. Games will be played for 4 weeks starting on Wednesdays, May 11th, starting at 3:30pm and ending at 4:30pm at Henderson Elementary. Parents are responsible for driving or finding transportation for their child to and from all games. Many thanks to Mr. Holdham for coaching our Laurier Team!

Tennis at Laurier!

Tennis is back at Laurier! Summer Smash Tennis will be at Laurier for three weeks, from May 24 to June 16. Each class from K to Grade 7 will participate in three sessions led by highly skilled tennis coaches, while supervised by their classroom teachers. A letter with more information will be sent to families with an online payment request for this activity.
