Aboriginal Focus Day - November 26

Dear Laurier Families,

I hope your week has gone smoothly. As we are approaching the end of November, we will begin to see more activities in our school to celebrate the end of the first trimester of school and welcome the holiday season. We hope that the last few weeks before the winter break are full of joy and happiness for our students and community.

Updated Daily Health Check and International Travel

Please check the most recent Daily Health checklist that you are required to use with your children daily here. As we are approaching the winter break, some families may have questions about requirements to isolate following international trips that may be planned for over the Break. The following information, contained in the International Travel section of the updated Daily Health Check, may be helpful:

Have you returned from travel outside of Canada in the last 14 days?

“Fully vaccinated students, staff and other adults who have travelled outside of Canada may qualify for the fully vaccinated traveller exemption.”

“Students, staff and other adults who are not fully vaccinated and have travelled outside of Canada CANNOT attend school for 14 days after arrival, as part of federal requirements.”

Aboriginal Focus Day on November 26

November 26th is an Aboriginal focus day for all staff across VSB and schools are closed for students. The theme of the day is " Listen , Learn , Understand".  Staff will participate in the sharing of teaching from the three Host Nations: Musqueam - Squamish - Tsleil-Waututh.

When: Wednesday, Dec 15th
