Dear UHill parents,  

We would like to invite you to the UHill Secondary Spring Gala Concerts for 2021. The performances you will hear represent hours of dedication, commitment, and our love of music. We would like to say THANK YOU to U Hill’s parents who recognize the importance of music in our schools and in our lives. Being part of a performing ensemble takes music education to a higher level by developing a strong sense of community, leadership, and organization as well as Independence, self-motivation, discipline, confidence, cooperation, and critical thinking. 

When we create music together, it makes us realize that we all share something in common, which is our love of music. Realizing our common connections, through music and the inspiration it brings us, allows us to support each other so that when we face challenges, we can reach more deeply into our connections and try harder to support those around us. Please enjoy:


 Cost: $3 students, $5 for general public, parents and family of music students - FREE

When: Wednesday, June 1st  7:00 pm – Orchestra and Choir

When: Thursday, June 2nd  7:00 pm – Concert Band

Where: Frederic Wood Theatre, UBC 6354 Crescent Road (across from the Chan Center).

The Frederic Wood Theatre is located at 6354 Crescent Road, just turn off NW marine Drive onto West Mall at the Museum of Anthropology, then right onto Crescent road.  Parking options are below.  Please allow enough time to park and walk to the Theater.

Parking: You can either park at surface lot (#5625) behind the theater (between the Freddy Wood Theater and the UBC School of Music), at the Rose Garden Parkade next to the Chan center, or at the Fraser River Parkade (see map at link below and click on the parkade names on the left for location).



Attention U-hillians! University Hill’s Theatre Company is excited to announce that we are back with “Murder in the Knife Room!” After two years of no gatherings, Theatre Company comes back with a BANG or... a stab? 

Join us May 24th, May 25th, May 26th, and May 30th at  7 pm for a night of excitement, intrigue, and MURDER. Tickets will be on sale during lunch and at the door starting May 19th until May 30th and remember opening day tickets are half price! See you there!!!

UHS Youth Connection Program for G7-12 students from UHS catchment (Resume In person):

Date:  Every Wednesday until June 22, 2022 

Time: 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Venue: Room 1E6 at University Hill Secondary School

Goals and Objectives:

  • Connect newcomer youth to their peers in school and the community through leisure activities and fun conversations to help smooth transitions, build confidence, sense of belongings and supportive circles.
  • Provide potential youth leaders with a platform to support their peers and build on their skills by leading small group conversations or activities.
  • Offer opportunities for personal growth and social development while exploring projects and voluntary engagement in school or community activities/events.
