The fall season is coming to a close. Our volleyball programs have been doing well, and playoffs are about to start for all our teams! The senior girls volleyball team is 4-2 at the moment in league play and is poised to win the Tier 2 city championships! Our senior boys team will be vying for a trip to provincials through the lower mainland AA zone tournament. The Junior and bantam girls teams are hoping to make the playoffs and are beginning to play the level of volleyball they expect to play! The senior boys soccer team is doing very well and are expected to have a good run in the playoffs. Our Cross Country team has finished up league meets, and had some strong results and Cameron Haime qualified for provincials as an individual!
- Our basketball program has already started and we have 5 teams, 4 boys teams and 1 girls team. Unfortunately there just wasn't enough players for creation of a grade 8 or 9 team. Practices will begin for these teams this week, with league seasons to start in December.
- We are looking for volunteers to help run/coach our table tennis team, and have yet to find anyone. We will be doing tryouts sometime in the next two weeks. Please reach out to me Jeff Hodgson, Athletic Director (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you know of anyone that could help.
Athletics are back! - (October 6, 2021)
We are so excited to offer a full slate of sport offerings after a difficult year of not having any last school year. Fall sports are in full swing, with Volleyball for grades 8-12 for the girls and grades 10-12 for the boys. We have a senior boys soccer team in competition as well as a cross country team running a meet already! We have a swim team as well, which will compete in the district meet at Watermania in late October (28th). Unfortunately, indoor sports will not be allowing fans in the building. All outdoor sports are fine to have spectators watching.
The next sport leagues will be in the winter season, which begins in November. We are in the process of taking sign ups for the sports that can potentially run (on the tackboard outside the PE Office/Gym).
Here is the list of winter sports:
Basketball (boys and girls all grades),
Hockey (girls only) and
Table Tennis (boys and girls all grades)
