The first days of school are Thursday, September 10 and Friday, September 11.

Students will attend a student orientation with their Period 1.1 learning group/cohort (A or B) on either September 10 or 11.  On September 8, students will be able to find their Period 1.1 learning group/cohort by viewing their schedule on MyEducation BC.  Please refer to the schedule below for when to attend.  Students will also receive an email on September 8 from their Period 1.1 class teacher confirming the date, time and location of their orientation. 

Thursday, September 10        

9:00 – 10:00  AM                    Period 1.1-A Gr. 9 and Gr. 10 level classes 

10:45 – 11:45 AM                   Period 1.1-A Gr. 11 and Gr. 12 level classes + multi-grade level classes

12:30 – 3:00 PM                     Period 1.1-A Gr. 8 level classes 

Friday, September 11

9:00 – 10:00  AM                    Period 1.1-B Gr. 9 and Gr. 10 level classes

10:45 – 11:45 AM                   Period 1.1-B Gr. 11 and Gr. 12 level classes + multi-grade level classes

12:30 – 3:00 PM                     Period 1.1-B Gr. 8 level classes                        

Students who do not have a class scheduled in Period 1.1 will attend a student orientation on Thursday, September 10.  Refer to the schedule below.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENT ORIENTATION                                                                                                During the student orientation, students will receive their schedule, school forms, school agenda, health and safety information, reusable masks and yearbook (if purchased last year).  Students should bring a pen/pencil to write with and a backpack/bag to carry materials being distributed.  Grade 8 students should dress comfortably and wear running shoes.

To ensure the health and safety of everyone, please adhere to the following:

  • enter the school using the southside (front) doors off of East 27th Avenue
  • wash or sanitize your hands upon arriving at the school and proceed directly to your class
  • do not share food and supplies
  • maintain physical distancing (at least 2 metres)
  • wear a mask when in shared common areas of the school, i.e., entrance, hallways, washrooms, exits
  • exit the school immediately after your orientation using the exterior doors closest to your Period 1.1 class
