Program Description:
P.A.S.E. is a two year program at Windermere, which may lead to Grade 10 equivalency.  
In a supportive, collaborative environment, students build their confidence and skills through a unique combination of core academics, work experience, community involvement, outdoor adventure, and hands-on shop experience.  Students will have one elective choice separate from the P.A.S.E. program. 
Student Profile:
P.A.S.E. is an excellent choice for students 15-18 years old who are either struggling in a traditional classroom setting or are coming from a junior special education program.  P.A.S.E. students should have an interest in outdoor recreation and a shop setting.
Selection / Screening:
P.A.S.E. Program referrals must be submitted to Learning Services.
Documentation required:
q  Completed request for Designation and or a Special Education Placement form
q  Psychological assessment (if available)
q  Individual Education Plan (IEP)
q  Recent report cards
q  School Based Team minutes
Exit Criteria:
A successful P.A.S.E. student, based on achievement and interests, can pursue a variety of paths after completing the program.   
Some possibilities include the following:
-  Take grade 11 ‘mainstream’ courses towards Dogwood (graduation Certificate), or Evergreen (school leaving certificate)
-  Enroll in a senior Alternate or Special Education Program
-  Select ‘mainstream’ courses with partial reverse integration in a mentorship role in P.A.S.E.
-  Enter the work force,  or a post-secondary training program
-  Complete requirements for an appropriate high school ACE IT program
